Palandri awarded entry into Hall of Fame
26 Nov 2007
Palandri Wines has been inducted into The Wine Industry Association of WA’s Hall of Fame following the annual ANZ WA Wine Industry awards on November 16, 2007. Palandri Wines received this honour, after being the recipient of ‘Excellence in Wine Exporting’ award, for three years running (2004 – 2006). Only two other wineries have been accepted into the Hall of Fame and Palandri is the first to be inducted based on exporting excellence.
Entries into the awards are open to all businesses and individuals in the WA wine industry – not just to Association members. This ensures these prestigious awards are a true representation of excellence across the entire wine industry.
Based on a submission criteria, the ‘Excellence in Wine Exporting’ category is open to all Western Australian wine companies exporting into one or more overseas markets. The winners are decided upon by their exporting achievements, export marketing strategy, brand management in the export markets and communications.
Commenting on the induction, Palandri Wines Managing Director Gordon Grant said “In 2006, Palandri shipped an order that represented the largest single export shipment of bottled, branded wines for any Western Australian wine company into the UK. Our continued efforts in Europe, along with our hard work on the ground in North America and the growing Asian market has seen Palandri continue to prove itself as a major exporter and we are proud of our contribution to the Western Australian wine industry.”
Palandri distributes its award winning wines throughout Australasia, the United Kingdom (servicing both the UK and Europe), the United States and Canada.
